This annual Christmas Market was started by the Purpurit Folk Dancers many years ago. The Vancouver Finlandia Club was given the opportunity to take it over, and gladly agreed. It takes many volunteers and vendors to make the craft fair a success, and the planning begins in the summer of each year.
The fair features many local vendors with crafts, art, baked goods + Finnish and other Scandinavian or Nordic products. The Vancouver Finlandia Club handmakes hundreds of Karajalan Piirakkat to sell, and the FinnFun School has Joulutorttut and their fundraising raffle which are always crowd favourites. Other vendors also have baking for sale, including pulla, cookies, breads and other treats.
Vancouver Finlandia Club & FinnFun Bake Sale:
Order karjalan piirakkat, joulutorttut & rye bread in advance and pick up at the fair. Order form will be available in early November
